When we began planning the wedding we knew that ultimately the only things that you have to keep after the day are the memories and the photos that help recall these. We first met mark at the Oran Mor wedding fair, and we looked no further. His enthusiasm instantly captured us. We next met at the complimentary couples shoot in which he got to know us and what we like and we got to get comfortable around him too. On the wedding day Mark was able to engage every single guest and bring out smiles which in turn have resulted in amazing photos. We could not recommend Mark highly enough and a number of guests at our wedding expressed they too would like to book him for their weddings in the future. For amazing quality lasting memories captured on one of your most important days look no further than Mark.
Thank you so much Mark from Courtney & I
From day one Mark was a brilliant, professional all round great guy. I clicked immediately with him at the wedding show at Oran Mor where he had a stall. From there we had a fabulous couple shoot within 2 weeks and myself and David both felt relaxed and enjoyed our time with Mark. He gave us great shots that were imaginative as well as well-structured imagery. As Architect’s we wanted to be photographed with a city back drop. David and I met, fell in love and live in Glasgow so it only felt right for Glasgow to be the third person in our shoots.
On our wedding day mark captured St Andrews, Cathedral on Clyde Street beautifully. My favourite photographs are the ones that are taken candidly within and out with the church of ourselves and our guests. From there we headed to the Trades Hall on Glassford Street for our reception and again Mark photographed us and our families fantastically considering the rain had started. He worked well with the shadows cast and gave us some lovely interior photographs to cherish.
As it rained on our day we did not manage to get a couples shoot on the day outside. Instead we waited for better weather and headed out on the day of the Royal Wedding to get some intimate photos in a city shoot. With Mark we travelled to three different locations within Glasgow and he took some fantastic shots within the city streets that we both really love.
We had a memorable experience with Mark on all 3 occasions and we would indefinitely book him again for further family photos we will require across the years.
For fantastic and organic compositions of photography for your day please look no further than this gentleman. He really made our day and we could not be happier with the wonderful collection he has provided us with.
Thank you again Mark for all you time, effort and professionalism.
Helen-Anne & David
Our wedding photos are more than we could ever have imagined, Mark has captured every little detail and made our guests and wedding party feel at ease.
Mark is such a lovely, genuine guy and we hit it off with him immediately at the Engagement photo shoot.
His photography is unique and he has an ability to capture those perfect, unforgettable moments.
We would highly recommend Mark to anyone wanting to capture their special day!
We were delighted with the photos Mark took of our wedding in February, he made everyone feel at ease and is a funny guy so the smiles in the photos are natural even if you hate getting your photo taken! Would highly recommend Mark to anyone who wants any occasion photographed.
If you're looking for a brilliant photographer then look no further... you've found him here! Mark takes the most amazing shots, he seems to do it all effortlessly and with great humour too. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for some special photos.. our wedding photos are fantastic. Cheers Mark!
Thank you so much for the amazing engagement shoot pics and then the fabulous wedding pics.
You put us both at ease and the photos are out of this world. We can't thank you enough......
Thank you, thank you, thank you
When we got engaged last year, we were on a mission to find a great photographer. It was a priority for us. Hidden in the midst of photographers, was the gem that is Mark!
Mark offered us a couple/engagement shoot in order to get to know him a little better before considering him. It's safe to say we fell in love with him. We were immediately comfortable. His personality and positivity just made us feel at ease. We didn't feel awkward in the slightest - which is what we were initially worried about.
As for our wedding day, it couldn't have gone better. We challenged Mark in a variety of ways, being two brides and being as demanding as each other and it wasn't a problem for him. He made it look so easy. We hardly even noticed him get in and about the whole day, capturing everything. And when we did work directly with him, he was extremely efficient and a great laugh - even at little times of stress.
The result is incredible. We absolutely love our photos! It is more than we imagined/dreamed of from Mark and we had high expectations in the first place! Haha.
Thank you Mark. We lucked out with you as our photographer. We have the best memories captured in your photographs which were absolutely perfect. Lots of love, Jac and Hazel xx
After spending many hours trawling the internet looking at loads (and I mean loads!) of wedding photographers, I happened upon a wedding shoot photographed by Mark Wild.
Instantly, Martine and I were hooked - we loved the way Mark captured the light, the way that colours punched out of his photos and his incredible eye for capturing the moment whilst preserving the emotion in his shots. I contacted Mark straight away, informed him of our vision and venues for our wedding day, we got on instantly, so we set up a couples shoot at a location nearby. Meeting Mark in person was a lovely experience, he is a smashing guy who is great fun and emanates a calm but confident energy, he put us at ease straight away. The couples shoot was a really unique experience, I had anticipated that I wouldn’t be comfortable as I’m not used to being photographed, however, Mark made us both feel so at ease that the shoot was a nice and natural experience enjoyed by us both. The results of the shoot were brilliant, we also got on great with Mark so we requested his services for our wedding day and fortunately for us he relished the opportunity (Mark had already carried out a recce of our venues in Crieff and Comrie).
Prior to our big day, Mark asked us to provide him with a list of specific shots that we would like out of the norm. He took our requests and expectations on board as well as our overriding request was that Mark utilise his artistic licence in candidly capturing our day. We pretty much gave him full autonomy over our wedding shots such was our confidence in his ability.
On our big day, Mark was a bit of a ninja! Not only did he capture Martine’s wedding preparations in Comrie but also hot-footed it to St Fillan’s in Crieff in plenty of time to capture me and my groomsmen welcoming our guests to the church. Exerting professionalism and discretion Mark captured Martine’s arrival and our service in its entirety, including the full range of emotion felt, through his artistic prowess. Despite pressing time constraints, Mark set up and captured our requested family portrait shots after the ceremony, in addition to impromptu natural shots of the guests and wedding party whilst they mingled.
Back to Comrie for our reception at Comrie White Church and ‘Ninja Mark’ went about in stealth mode capturing impromptu candid shots of the guests and us as we all mingled. With his eye on the natural light and the beautiful scenic opportunities on hand, Mark stole Martine and me to captured images of us outside the reception venue, in the grounds, on the bridge and in the camper van, all of which are stunning. A ninja never tires and so Mark tirelessly documented our reception, from a beautiful reportage of speeches with guest reactions and emotions to the magic of our first dance in shots that can only be described as mind-blowing. Mark remained at the wedding reception a lot longer than we expected capturing the fun of our guests and special moments for us to savour.
To sum up, Mark you have given us such a gift, you have captured not only special moments but what was special in the ordinary moments of our special day, which we now have forever to accompany our incredible memories. All of this you presented in a way that only you could with the light and colours that first drew us to your art.
Ninja Mark, thank you so much
Mark & Martine
Heather met Mark at an event at the Òran Mór in Glasgow & hit it off pretty much right away. He was easy to talk to, quick to respond to emails & soon enough we were all together for a little engagement shoot. It’s a fantastic deal that he offers you, some really great photos with a very friendly yet professional photographer.
We loved his style & how at ease he made us feel. The results were so good that really, there was no other option for the wedding but to have him back. He did not disappoint. He was there all day, not being intrusive yet getting all the “behind the scenes” photos we could hope for.
He is very understanding of the pressures the bride is under on the big day & finds ways to ease any stresses that arise. It was like having another guest, except one with a camera who organised us all into groups at times. Everyone who has seen the photos he did for us has been very impressed & we are so glad to have such gorgeous mementos of our big day. Mark realises the importance of the day but also manages to be chatty & fun.
We can’t wait to have some of his work hanging proudly on our walls & the walls of our family. If you want the job done, get Mark to do it.
Duncan & Heather
When Stephen and I started to look for a photographer for our wedding we didn't know what to expect!
I wanted someone to capture natural shots of the day to tell the story of our wedding and to guide us with their expertise!
We were having a small intimate wedding and didn't know how that would work with a photographer!
I found Mark after researching online and read the reviews of photo shoots and weddings he had done he was open and honest and was just starting to build up his wedding portfolio!
As soon as we met Mark at the pre wedding photo shoot he put us at ease straight away lovely guy genuine from the start. He said he would send on the shots he had taken and to get in touch if we were happy with them which of course we were.
My wedding photographs were natural and amazing and told the story of the wedding from start to the end. I had decided early on I didn't want an album was happy with the photos online however they turned out better than I could have hoped for and needless to say have now ordered an album and thanks to Mark he has helped put together and came up with ideas I would never have thought of!
I would highly recommend Mark he made all our guests feel at ease and if you have a look at his blog you will see the pictures and all genuine smiles!
Thank you Mark!
I found Mark on Instagram and immediately fell in love with his pictures. There is an amazing light to them and I liked how he composes his pictures.
We met him for a trial shoot in the woods near Glasgow and the chemistry between us was right from the beginning. He really made us feel at ease in front of the camera. He is very easy going and has a good sense of humour. For us it was clear straight away that we would have loved him to shoot our wedding.
After a couple of emails between him and my husband in which they talked about the location and possible picture opportunities on the way from the registry in 23 Montrose Street in Glasgow to The Bothy in the West End.
Our big day was finally here.
Mark met me at the hotel I got ready at. He took pictures of my dress, flowers and the ring. He also photographed me outside the hotel. He had great ideas on how to incorporate the buildings and streets. Again, he made me feel comfortable while taking pictures.
He then went to the registry to take pictures of the arriving guests, best man and husband. I didn't notice him at all during the ceremony and was really happy about the lovely pictures he took of us and our guests. We walked from the registry to Buchanan Street station to the subway with a couple of stops in between. The weather was on our side and the Glaswegians also were on their best behaviour :D. The ride on the subway went smooth and Mark took the opportunity of taking some unusual pictures in the subway stations.
Finally we arrived at The Bothy in the West End where we had our wedding reception. Mark took different group shots of us, best man, bride's maid and families. Although he made us pose here and there, we felt really comfortable and at ease with him. After shooting the reception room and our toasts, Mark said good bye.
I would definitely choose him again for shooting any special occasion. Thank you for capturing the most important and best day of our lives!
