Lucy & Gordon | Kirknewton House Stables |

With the sun shining like it did for Kucy & Gordons big day, Kirknewton stables really could have been situated anywhere in the world, it had such a continental feel to it, like a  relaxed French wine festival within the grounds of a chateau sort of thing!

My first port of call was to hang out with Lucy and her friends and family as they all got ready in Trini and Kev's wonderful house on the outskirts of Edinburgh. I actually loved that house!

When my work was done there it was time to head off to the venue, Kirknewton House Stables I've been there several times with my other job as a DJ so knew the layout to some extent, so O.K. I didn't really, as this time I got to recce the gardens and house within the estate and good golly miss Molly they are breathtaking. What a place for a wedding! All seated in the glorious sunshine with Gordon and Lucy to be wed under the grove of trees on the stunning lawns. Family and friends were playing frisbee, Croquet, football and sat on the lawn with ice cold drinks from the outdoor bar area #winning

When Lucy arrived with the bridesmaids all looking stunning, she was to walk down the aisle herself and wasn't to be given away, as in her eyes, it was something she as a woman in her own right 'wanted' to do! (I hope I've 'nearly' got that right Lucy!) It was a wonderful sight, Lucy grinning ear to ear as she proudly walked down the aisle toward Gordon.

David the Humanist who did a spectacular job marrying the guys, top man with a brilliant sense of humour!

Anyway I'm waffling so here's some pictures that can describe much better than I what kind of day it was :)

Joanne & David | The Hendersons | Lochside House Hotel

I met Joanne at one of the awesome Òran Mór wedding open days, had a few emails and met up for their 'Remove the Awkward' pre-wedding shoots! Normally I'd hit a quiet spot in the woodlands but today for some reason I thought we could change it up a little and go down to the lake down at Strathy. I thought it would have been 'quiet(ish)' I was wrong! There were humans everywhere and Joanne was in her own words 'MORTIFIED' haha! David on the other hand just went with it proving he could indeed be a contender for Glasgow's next model haha go on my son! :) We chatted, walked, tried to pretend it wasn't busy and got down to business, the results were pretty sweet if I don't mind saying so myself! Next stop, their big day at Lochside House Hotel Spa & Lodges | Luxury Wedding Venue Ayrshire!

Grabbed a few shots of the venue and it's grounds in the beautiful sunshine, seriously it was a beautiful day! Into one of the lodges for Joanne's transformation into one top draw looking bride and as per normal I could waffle all day about the happenings of the day but let's have some pictures tell the story, over n'out :)

P.S Working alongside John, Tony, Mr DJ Fresh Entertainment himself and all the organisers and staff at Lochside House Hotel Spa & Lodges | Luxury Wedding Venue Ayrshire made the day that much more enjoyable, well played guys! :)

Helen-Anne & David | City Session

So on David and Helen-Anne's big day we started off with a lovely warm overcast cast day, I did some prep shots with Helen-Anne, got some lovely architecture shots of St. Andrews Cathedral, guests arriving and then some of the lads all dappered up!

We had great plans of burning it around Glasgow in a top of the range Jaguar to a few different locations around Glasgow for our portrait session, but, as soon as the ceremony finished, the heavens opened! It wasn't just raining, it was raining raining! Throughout the rest of their day we grabbed shots where we could in and around their venue Trades Hall of Glasgow but we had a back up plan :) A post wedding 'without rain' portrait session.

I drove to Helen-Anne and Davids place in Glasgow's West End where they were waiting looking awesome all dressed up for their wedding again 6 weeks later. Helen-Anne's Dad Iain drove us around Glasgow in his passenger seat weight restriction Audi (Legend lol) and her mum Philomena acted as the best photographers assistant you can wish for (Thank you Philomena!)

So relaxed and too many laughs with class people, here are some of the shot!

Jemma & Stephen | The Gallagher's | Ross Priory, Alexandria

Jemma and Stephen who work and live in Bristol found me via the power of Google I do believe! We had an ace couple shoot, I actually really enjoy the couple shoots as there's no better way to get over the 'awkward' that's inevitable when we first meet up and then to grab some shots to document the 'before we were even married' thing!

Jemma and Stephen had chosen the beautiful Ross Priory as the place where they were to be wed, having worked there on numerous occasions as a DJ it was one venue I'd really wanted to document a wedding at so I was stoked to get the opportunity.

It was a grey and moody start to the day but I always feel Scotland can be even more majestic in these conditions, while I realise most brides wish for sunshine and warm weather it definitely doesn't always make for the best photos! With Jemma being English and Stephen Scottish it was a great laugh watching the English lads familiarise themselves with proper Scottish attire, great they embraced it and indeed pulled it off very well. Well played lads! lol

An all round superb day, surrounded by awesome people. A special mention to Claire the humanist too who really adds a very special ingredient to the overall feel of a ceremony, what that ingredient is, I do not know, but I somehow think all her couples are very happy they chose her to marry them, good arrows Claire :) And Strange Bru the live band, class!

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Gallagher, I hope it was cold and rainy in Bali, you lucky sods! :)
