Joanne & David | The Hendersons | Lochside House Hotel

I met Joanne at one of the awesome Òran Mór wedding open days, had a few emails and met up for their 'Remove the Awkward' pre-wedding shoots! Normally I'd hit a quiet spot in the woodlands but today for some reason I thought we could change it up a little and go down to the lake down at Strathy. I thought it would have been 'quiet(ish)' I was wrong! There were humans everywhere and Joanne was in her own words 'MORTIFIED' haha! David on the other hand just went with it proving he could indeed be a contender for Glasgow's next model haha go on my son! :) We chatted, walked, tried to pretend it wasn't busy and got down to business, the results were pretty sweet if I don't mind saying so myself! Next stop, their big day at Lochside House Hotel Spa & Lodges | Luxury Wedding Venue Ayrshire!

Grabbed a few shots of the venue and it's grounds in the beautiful sunshine, seriously it was a beautiful day! Into one of the lodges for Joanne's transformation into one top draw looking bride and as per normal I could waffle all day about the happenings of the day but let's have some pictures tell the story, over n'out :)

P.S Working alongside John, Tony, Mr DJ Fresh Entertainment himself and all the organisers and staff at Lochside House Hotel Spa & Lodges | Luxury Wedding Venue Ayrshire made the day that much more enjoyable, well played guys! :)

Òran Mór Wedding Fayre - 8th April 2018 - Wedding Exhibition Glasgow

I'm not a Wedding Fayre regular type of photographer, in fact the Òran Mór Wedding Fayre is the only one I've ever done! :) This was the third and just like the previous two, a very laid back affair with even more laid back suppliers. Loads of 'soon to be married' couples turned up to check out everyone's offerings, grab a cheeky glass of bubbles and take in some of the awesome live music! Here's a blast of images taken from throughout the day! May be you're in it! :)

John & Heather - Òran Mór - October 14th 2018

So John & Heathers big day arrived! My first port of call was to join Heather who was getting ready at the Hilton Grosvenor which is literally a 100m from the Òran Mór accompanied by mum and bridesmaids it was all guns blazing in there with the girls all beautifying themselves for the upcoming ceremony! John got ready at home and then joined his parents to add his finishing touches who were also at the Hilton Grosvenor. After capturing that I headed back over to the wonderful Òran Mór for the ceremony to wait for Heathers arrival and then onto capture the rest of their big day there. The Òran Mór is such a unique venue, so grand, colourful, quirky and situated idyllically in Glasgows west end for couples wanting that urban city wedding feel to their day. Perfect for professional couple John & Heather anyway who live and work very close to it. The atmosphere of the whole day was very relaxed obviously stemming from how laid back both John & Heather are! Top couple and a class wedding.

Duncan & Heather, Alexander House, Auchterarder, Perthshire.

Wedding Photographer Scotland.

Well it only seems like a few weeks ago that Heather approached me as I sold my wares at the Oran Mor Wedding Open Day in the west end of Glasgow, we chatted about her day, how soon it was going to be, about the venue and about how it was going to be an intimate affair at the wonderful Alexander House, Auchterarder, Perthshire. As I do with all couples interested in booking me, I offered Heather and her husband to be Duncan a free couple shoot or a meet n'shoot as I call them, I find it's such an awesome way to get together and break the ice. When that day arrived for Heather & Duncan we had a blast and you can see the results of the shoot a bit further up the blog.

I arrived at the wonderful Alexander House at 10 a.m., I was greeted with a full Scottish breakfast courtesy of Heather's Dad Martin and what a plate full it was, nothing missed and I mean nothing, the kind of breakfast that would cost you £70 at a motorway services that charges 'per item'. Anyway, I made light work of it haha ! As their wedding photographer I figured I'd better start doing some work otherwise people would start mistaking me for a guest, so I started in the bridal suite with Heather & the girls.......

Here's a collection of shots from the day, enjoy :)
