City Centre Wedding

John & Heather - Òran Mór - October 14th 2018

So John & Heathers big day arrived! My first port of call was to join Heather who was getting ready at the Hilton Grosvenor which is literally a 100m from the Òran Mór accompanied by mum and bridesmaids it was all guns blazing in there with the girls all beautifying themselves for the upcoming ceremony! John got ready at home and then joined his parents to add his finishing touches who were also at the Hilton Grosvenor. After capturing that I headed back over to the wonderful Òran Mór for the ceremony to wait for Heathers arrival and then onto capture the rest of their big day there. The Òran Mór is such a unique venue, so grand, colourful, quirky and situated idyllically in Glasgows west end for couples wanting that urban city wedding feel to their day. Perfect for professional couple John & Heather anyway who live and work very close to it. The atmosphere of the whole day was very relaxed obviously stemming from how laid back both John & Heather are! Top couple and a class wedding.

Bryan & Heike, 23 Montrose Street and The Bothy Restaurant Glasgow.

After initially meeting Bryan & Heike for their pre-wedding couple shoot I almost immediately wanted to be the photographer to document their wedding. They had planned a very intimate affair with their closest family and friends. Their ceremony was to be at 23 Montrose Street Glasgow in the registry office and then they'd walk through the centre of Glasgow to Buchannan Street Subway heading from there to Hillhead and finally on to 11 Ruthven Lane to the beautiful Bothy Restaurant

After a fun couple shoot and delivering them their photos they decided to hire me. A week before the wedding I traveled into Glasgow to familiarise myself with and recce the route planned and the venues we'd be using. On the day itself everything went very smoothly, the ceremony was very intimate with plenty of tears ! The walk through Glasgow was lovely with plenty of stop offs and locations to document this very special occasion. We the entered Buchannan Street Subway for the short 10 minute journey to Hillhead. I must say, it's true what they say about Glasgow being one of the friendliest cities in the world, random strangers were shouting their well wishes to Bryan & Heike all the way through Glasgow. The final leg off Bryan & Heike's special day ended up in at the quaint Bothy Restuarant, where they intended to enjoy food and drinks with their nearest and dearest ! Great day, smashing couple and bringing me up to a grand total of 5 weddings under my belt :) Here's just a few shots of the adventure.
